Though some celebrities are against the motion, Barima Sidney has thrown his full support behind the government in a recent interview on Radio Central with Amansan Krakye.
"That move is a step in a right direction. Because we are surrounded by Francophone countries, Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso and Togo.
One thing I have realized is they are able to learn the English small and it seems we are forcing our language on them. They learn ours but we can't learn theirs. So we have to learn sake of those surrounding us, Ghana we are not an island, where are we taking the Twi to, it's just for here. So far as we are not an island and we travel outside we have to learn.
We used to learn French in those days so if it's now going to be official, I think it's a step in a right direction. Kudos to Akufo-Addo and his government. Ghana we are not an island, we interact with other countries so we need to learn. I'm very happy something like this is going to happen", he revealed.
When the news broke out that French is going to be used as 2nd official language many people spoke against it and suggested that local language should be used. Okyeame Kwame was part of the celebrities that spoke against the agenda but eShun, Barima Sidney and others also think otherwise.

Snakes have chased Liberian President, George Weah out of office.
A snake was found in Weah’s office, forcing him to work from his private residence, according to the BBC.
The President’s Press Secretary, Smith Toby told the BBC that on Wednesday two black snakes were found in the foreign affairs ministry building, site of the official office.
All staff have been told to stay away until 22 April.
“It’s just to make sure that crawling and creeping things get fumigated from the building,” Mr Toby said.
“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosts the office of the president, so it did an internal memo asking the staff to stay home while they do the fumigation,” he said.
“The snakes were never killed,” Mr. Toby said, “There was a little hole somewhere [through which] they made their way back.”
Police and presidential security were seen guarding Weah’s residence in the capital, Monrovia. A fleet of vehicles including escorts jeeps were parked outside.
Mr. Toby said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs started to fumigate on Friday.
“That building’s been there for years now, and [because of] the drainage system, the possibility of having things like snakes crawling in that building was high,” he said.
The president is definitely returning to his office on Monday after the fumigation whether or not the snakes are found and killed, Mr. Toby said.

In all my videos I have been endorsing Zylofon Music in it so I don't know why people will say I betrayed NAM1. Maybe they don't know so I'm telling them to go and check and see if I'm being hypocrite", she bemoaned.

"My Birth control almost killed me literally. So boom story time…. since March 3 I was on my period and didn’t stop bleeding until April 6th, that never happened to me so I made a doctors appointment to figure out why I was bleeding so heavy. Turns out my IUD moved out of my uterus. So yesterday Monday the 8th I got my IUD taken out and they replaced it with a new one. But my body rejected the first one, so my smart self should have thought more before trying to put another one in there. So like 25 min go by I get home and I started vomiting viciously I was having hot flashes, passing out. I went back to the emergency room Monday night around 7pm and they said the new IUD was being pushed out my uterus what the hell I had to stay in the hospital to make sure my uterus didn’t get infected! I was in excruciating pain and this post is not for sympathy it is honestly to educate all my ladies out there all these hormones are unnatural and could be fatal. I literally almost lost my life just because I didn’t wanna end up pregnant. Now I’m moving forward and going #birthcontrolfree I refuse to be a victim. Now I’m going to play it safe and take better care of my body nothing unnatural is going in me ever again. Ladies please educate yourself about the birth control you are using I don’t want you to go through this !!"

Read their story below:
“Let me tell you a quick story about our birth.I’m sure you guys won’t expect this lmao So according to my mum, when she was pregnant she was expecting just one child, just a child. But later on,she started getting bigger than usual then she got worried and decided to go to the hospital for a scan but it kept on showing that she was pregnant with just a child.
She would go to the hospital twice almost every week because she was so concerned about the size of the pregnancy since she was having just a child.
So About five months later(Ikr,that’s a long time)she went back to the hospital and they finally told her she was pregnant with twins, she was so surprised and at the same time relieved that the babies were fine. So,she started buying two pairs of everything, same shoes, same clothes and all.
Then when she was due which was eight month three days(multiple births don’t actually stay till the usual nine months, most of them)she went to the hospital and then the doctor told her she was going to deliver her babies(twins)through cs.
After some hours they finally got the twins out(Tomisin and Tomiwa)but according to my mum when the doctor was about closing up they noticed a movement and they were concerned, thinking something went wrong they had to undo the stitches, and then it turned out that they found another baby(Toni)
What would you do if you found out you were originally meant to give birth to twins but then it turned out you gave birth to triplets?lmao
When my mum regained consciousness, the doctor told the nurses to bring in the triplets,my mum thought she heard wrong so she asked “what triplets ?”then they explained the whole thing to her and she was filled with joy and was having mixed emotions.Who wouldn’t?
So there wasn’t any clothe for Toni(the last child)they quickly had to get a substitute till they went to buy her stuff, ours actually because we had to wear the same thing. So why Toni and I look more alike is because we shared the same placenta and Tomisin had hers.” Happy birthday @.tomiwa. @toni.xox_ @thomisin_ #triplets #beauty #birthdaygirls

According to the Minister of Immigration of Canada, in the year 2018, the nation will welcome at least as many new immigrants as it was expected this year. In the CBC radio show named The House, the comment of the Minister came just before the government is thought to be publishing its Immigration Levels Plan for the year 2018.
“Our new normal is three hundred thousand,” Hussen said. “It is not only because of the need to meet the demands of Canadian families who wanted to rejoin with their close ones, that as a government we went from 260,000 to 300,000, but also because of the employers who want us to allow them to use immigrants more so that they can meet their growth needs.”
Earlier this year, Minister Hussen had said that the annual target of 300,000 new immigrants is just the base figure for the coming years. He also confirmed that below this figure, the levels of immigration in Canada will not go down. There have been 320,932 new arrivals in Canada between July 2015 and July 2016. For the year 2017, the target has been set at 300,000.
Minister Hussen, at a conference on June 10, 2017, reaffirmed that they will always welcome new immigrants and will work towards making the process of obtaining Canadian citizenship much easier. “We want more permanents residents – in fact, we want all permanent residents, if possible – to be Canadians” he added.
The economic immigration system of Canada has now become a demand-based model, named Express Entry. Here, the government first invites the eligible candidates to apply for permanent citizenship, using a comprehensive ranking system. The candidates then get 90 days to apply for the same. Here the aim of the government is to process most of the applications within a period of six months.
There is a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) through which other economic migrants will get to settle. Or, they can be admitted so that they can settle in the province of Quebec. As business immigrants, they will be provided with a number.
Canada has Family Class Programs through which the families in the country will get to be reunited with their loved ones. Not to mention, it is through its refugee resettlement programs that the Canadian government will continue to uphold its tradition of providing citizenship to those who are in need.
Takoradi-based gospel singer, KODA is telling event organizers and churches that being gospel artist doesn't mean you should perform for free.
Many Ghanaian gospel artistes including SP Kofi Sarpong have complained about how event organizers have refused to give them the amount they deserve thinking they are doing God's work and forgetting they also have bills to pay.
In an interview on Cape Coast-based Radio Central with Amansan Krakye, the "Hossana" singer said;
"As gospel artistes we play shows at conventions, crusades and ticketed events. But whether people pay gate fee or not we make sure at least our transportation fee and money for the band is paid".
KODA has been nominated twice in this year's VGMA. The categories are gospel song and gospel artist of the year.
Controversial Ghanaian prophet, Bishop Daniel Obinim a.k.a Angel claims he has performed miracles more than any prophet in the Bible including Jesus Christ.
In a video circulating on social media, Obinim was ministering in Kumasi branch of his church while he revealed that Jesus Christ lifetime was short so he couldn't perform many miracles.
He also revealed that it was only Jesus Christ that was able to transform into a different person. Moses, Elijah, Jeremiah and other prophets couldn't perform this miracle.
A woman who was born with a rare condition that causes her skin to appear thick and scaly has credited her self-confidence to the positive affirmations her mother made her say in front of the mirror.
When fitness instructor Brittany Mickens, 31, from Fredericksburg, Virginia, was born, she was rushed to a nearby children's hospital because doctors didn't know what was wrong with her skin, and her family was told she wouldn't live past the age of one.
As Brittany grew up, her skin grew thick, dry and scaly, but doctors dismissed this as an extreme case of eczema, prescribing her strong creams to treat her skin, which would only work for a few weeks at a time before her skin reverted to the condition it was in before.

When I was first born I was rushed to a nearby children's hospital in Washington, D.C. because they didn't know what was wrong with me, and eventually was told I wouldn't live past a year.'
Support: Brittany credits her mother, Wanda, for encouraging her to have confidence and love herself growing up Growing up, people would stare at Brittany and notice that her skin appeared different to theirs.
'I would get a few stares, but it was rare that anyone would say anything to me about my skin. I didn't feel any different, but I knew I was different.'
But thanks to her mother, Wanda, who instilled a strong sense of self-love in her by getting her to repeat positive affirmations in the mirror, Brittany has learned to love herself for who she is.
'My mother made sure that I accepted myself and I was proud to be who I was,' she said.
'She would often make me look in the mirror and repeat, "I love you, you are beautiful," over and over again. And one day I finally realized what she was doing, and I am so grateful for her making me do that.

Condition: When Brittany was 18 years old, a dermatologist officially diagnosed her with a rare skin condition called ichthyosis
Condition: When Brittany was 18 years old, a dermatologist officially diagnosed her with a rare skin condition called ichthyosis It wasn't until Brittany started university at age 18 and went to a new dermatologist that she was diagnosed with ichthyosis, a condition that causes widespread and persistent thick, dry, 'fish scale' skin.
Confident: Brittany, pictured with her grandmother, sometimes gets stared at in public, but says that she doesn't let it phase her According to Mayo Clinic, the condition is caused by a genetic mutation that has been inherited from one or both parents.
A permanent cure has not yet been found for the skin condition, and the available treatments focus solely on controlling it.
However, the diagnosis allowed Brittany to finally understand why prescribed creams and medicines never worked on her skin before.
After visiting the dermatologist eight times a year for 25 years, Brittany was fed up of putting chemicals on her skin for them to work and then eventually stop working.
Therefore, she has opted for a natural approach to her skin care, which involves using natural shea butter with essential oils, gold bond ultimate radiance renewal and cocoa butter Vaseline after a shower.
She also began using Jamaican black castor oil on her skin at night.
Realization: After being diagnosed with the condition, Brittany finally made sense of why prescribed creams and medicines never worked on her skin before

Because I had the wrong diagnosis all of the medicines that were prescribed to me only worked for a few weeks,' she explained.
Brittany said that growing up with the condition was tough, but her mother, Wanda, helped build her up by regularly reminding her that she looked beautiful.
'I sometimes get stared at and asked different questions, but I don't let it consume my day. Most of the time I forget that I have ichthyosis,' she said.
There are at least 20 different types of ichthyosis and there is no cure for any of the variations of the condition.
However, moisturizing and exfoliating the skin on a daily basis can help prevent dryness, scaling and build-up of skin cells.
