Video: Abeiku Santana Lashes "Bad Leader" Obour For Saying The Industry Will Survive Without Shatta Wale And Stonebwoy

Award-winning radio and TV presenter Abeiku Santana has fired MUSIGA president Obour and called him a bad leader for supporting Charterhouse to ban Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy.


When VGMA board members announced that Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale have banned from the VGMAs, many industry players including spoke against it and pleaded with the board to reconsider the punishment.



Surprisingly Obour who is the leader of the musicians saw nothing wrong with it and said the industry can do without these two artistes.


Reacting to this biased statement, Abeiku Santana has expressed his disappointment in Obour and called him a bad leader.


"You are a bad leader. You are not a street boy, that's why your belly is fat like that", he angrily said.

Shatta Wale Said He Can't Stop Creating Controversies - Obour

The President of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), Bice Osei Kufuor popularly known on stage as Obuor, says Shatta Wale’s extreme passion for controversies in his music carreer was the cause of last Sunday’s disturbances at the 20th edition of the VGMAs.

He says the Dancehall Artist, Shatta Wale once told him bluntly he cannot quit controversy, rivalry and the rest because that is what sells his music.

“We’ve invited them on countless occasion to intervene in the growing feud between them,especially Shatta Wale when he started these rivalry with Samini, Sarkodie and others. However for him, he’s made it clear that its part of his music besides he entered music to make money, so he cannot stop it. And you could see clearly that how Ghanaians have cheered him on amidst his controversies is giving him the energy to go on that angle in his music. And I’m sure nothing can stop him from needless controversies and rivalry.,” he told host Kwaku Owusu Adjei on Anopa Kasapa on Kasapa 102.5 FM.

According to Obour, inasmuch as the two should be condemned for their actions, Shatta Wale ought to be blamed highly for the provocations that led to the chaos on the VGMA stage.

Both artistes spent the night in Police cells following their detention by the Accra Regional Police Command over the gun incident on the VGMA stage Sunday.

The programmed was marred by a brawl between the two musicians after Shatta Wale and his followers stormed the stage when Stonebwoy was declared as Reggae Dancehall Artiste of the Year.

Police say charges are yet to be preferred against the two since investigations are ongoing.

I'm An Evangelist Now - Obour Reveals After Chopping MUSIGA Money

Hip life rapper Bice Osei Kufour professionally known as Obour has revealed that he is an evangelist.


In an interview with Amansan Krakye on Radio Central, the MUSIGA president explained that he is not surprised if people are saying he is an evangelist because it's a responsibility of every Christian to do evangelism.


"It's a responsibility of every Christian to be an evangelist so it's true, I'm an evangelist", he said.


When asked whether he will form a church to do it professionally, he said God hasn't told him yet.


"God hasn't instructed me yet but evangelism is in the Bible so that's what I'm using for now", he added.


Obour's term as MUSIGA president will end this June for new person to elected. High life singer Bessa Samons and record producer Appietus have hinted on contesting.

Obour Lists 3 Achievements As Musiga President

The President of Musicians Union of Ghana(MUSIGA), Bice Osei Kufour professionally known as Obour, has detailed 3 major things Ghanaian would possibly remembered him for.

Obour's term as MUSIGA president will end this June for new person to be elected as president.

When asked in an interview with Amansan Krakye on Radio Central some of his achievements and what he will be remembered for as Musiga president, he said;

"I believe I will be remembered for so many things. Some will positive and others may not because everyone has a way interpreting things. But I will be remembered as the musician who cared about the welfare of ageing musicians. The musician that brought music festival that's called 'Ghana Music Week'. The musician that brought NAFTI and school of performing arts together for Musiga to establish Musiga academy. So these are things people will remember me for".

Obour also revealed that he is still doing music and might be dropping some bangers soon.
