Ghanaian DJs Don't Play Good Music From Underground Artists But Play Bad Songs From Stars - Kofi Kinaata

High life and hip life singer Kofi Kinaata has lamented on how some DJs are ignoring good songs from underground artistes and keep playing "bad" songs from big artists.

The Ghanaian music industry is not favouring fast-rising artistes because of financial problems.

Speaking with Graphic Showbiz, the "Confession" hitmaker revealed that it wasn't easy for "Chochomucho" by Bless to hit because there was no money to push it.

“It was difficult for a song like Chochomucho by Bless to become a hit just because he didn’t have the money to push it but other songs I don’t even regard as songs are doing so well", he said.

“The DJs will not play a song, especially from an up-and-coming artiste, but would prefer to play a bad song from a popular artiste which is not cool”, he lamented.
