Some internet users are mocking a new bride and her groom after photos of their traditional wedding were shared on Facebook.
The new bride, Toochi Ikpozu took to the platform to share photos from her traditional wedding ceremony, but instead of receiving congratulatory messages, she got more than what she bargained for, with many attacking her makeup.
The bride further wrote on how her beautiful ‘romantic story’ started ‘like a play’ and how ‘discouragement was the order of the day’.
Despite all of the discouragement, she and her handsome groom overcame all, and had a successful traditional marriage.
Photos were shared of course, but then, web users mocked her choice of outfits, cake, ceremony et all. Some wondered what part of Igbo culture expects the couple to sit on a mat on their traditional wedding day.
Some even went as far as saying the bride’s makeup must have been done by the groom’s ex.
A look at older photos of the bride on her page shows she’s a beautiful woman who simply had the wrong makeup done on her big day.
