41 dead as Russian plan catches fire on the runway while making emergency landing.
Forty-one people were killed when a Russian passenger plane made a fiery crash-landing Sunday at a Moscow airport, said Elena Markovskaya, a member of the country’s Investigative Committee.
Two children are among the dead, according to the committee.
The Russian Superjet 100 was flying from Moscow to Murmansk when a fire broke out on board. Aeroflot Flight SU1492 returned to Moscow’s Sheremetyevo Airport, making a hard landing, news agency Interfax reported.

Thirty-seven people survived, Markovskaya told reporters at Sheremetyevo Airport. Five survivors are hospitalized, she said.
The plane had 73 passengers and five crew members on board. Russian state news agency TASS reported.
Videos on social media show the plane engulfed in flames on the tarmac and people evacuating through emergency slides.
A passenger in a plane waiting to depart Moscow posted this video on Instagram.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has been informed of the fiery emergency landing of the Aeroflot jet in Moscow and has ordered a “thorough investigation,” Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov told TASS.
“All instructions have been given to conduct the most thorough investigation, [to carry out] the necessary orders to find out the cause of this accident,” said Peskov, according to TASS.
Aeroflot, the unofficial national airline of Russia, confirmed that the fire occurred but hasn’t commented yet on casualties.
Russia’s Investigative Committee has launched a criminal probe into the incident, it said on its website. The committee routinely conducts investigations into major incidents with loss of life.

We Are Not In Competition With Small Boys Like Kuami Eugene, KiDi, Shatta Wale, Sarkodie - Akatakyie
Ghanaian hiplife duo, Akatakyie have said that they are back and ready to take off from where they left behind.
According to them, even though, there’s a new crop of musicians ruling the airwaves, they aren’t a bit scared.
The “Esi” hit makers said this while speaking with Kojo Boateng and AJ Sarpong on ‘Saturday Live’ on Citi TV.
“The small boys are trying. I will mention names like Kuami Eugene, Kidi, Kofi Kinaata, Sarkodie and others. These are the few musicians who can give us competition. Apart from them, it is only P Square we are scared of,” they said.
Explaining why they took a long break from music, the duo explained that they faced some financial challenges at their record label.
“It was financial situation. We were working with Soul Record and he decided to go low for some time. And we needed someone to push us. We did not want to flop on the way because we have a record to protect. We just didn’t want to release songs for releasing sake,” they added.
Akatakyie is made up of two brothers: Prince Kwabena Budu Asumaning (Kobby Culture) and Ebenezer Kwasi Okyere Asumaning (King Pharaoh).
They came out with their maiden album ‘Odo Esisi Me’ in 1999 which won them the Best Hiplife Song award in the maiden edition of the Ghana Music Awards organized in 2000.
They have had hits like ‘Ghana Mmaa’, ‘Agoo’, ‘Odo Esikyire’, ‘Sinsima’, ‘Esi’, ‘Meyare’, ‘Masan Aba’, ‘Oman Ba Pa’, ‘Odo Ye Musu Anaa’, and ‘Siesie Obaa no’ featuring Okyeame Kwame.

Juliet Ibrahim defends single mothers, says men are j**ks
Ghanaian actress, Juliet Ibrahim has expressed her sentiments on why people take delight in attacking single mothers like herself but doesn't mete out such attacks to men.
While decrying the rate at which single mothers are being attacked and relegated in the society, asked if men don’t deserve the same treatments.
The actress who is also a single mother of one said the society praises men for being jerks and adulteress, while the women are being looked down upon for ending the relationships, despite bearing their children.
She wrote
"Isn’t it funny how people seem to forget that there is no rewind button to undo everything that didn’t work out in our lives?
When I see the attacks on single mothers including myself It’s always mind-baffling, to be honest. So what is the decision-making sin that single mothers are so badly guilty of? Being single?! Suddenly, “Single mother” is defined as a woman who’s bad and deserves bashing?!
If a single mother is not in a relationship, regard- less of the reason; she’s always to blame, yet we give men praises for being adulterers and jerks so long as he’s “good to his kids” .
If a man doesn’t get “tagged” or “bashed” for actually being at fault for why a relationship ended, why isn’t the woman given the same leniency, even if why the relationship ended wasn’t her fault? Or maybe it was her fault but it was still for the best?
Telling my story soon enough. It’s about time.

I Refused To Feature On Atom's Song Because He Has Turned "Toilet Roll" - Patapaa Reveals
"One Corner" hitmaker Patapaa has revealed that he rejected Atom's featuring because Atom disrespected his brand.
Atom who became popular with his "Yewo Krom" song and disappeared afterwards advised Patapaa to be careful because Ghanaians may forget him like it happened to him.
In recent interview on Obrempon FM with DJ Poppa, Patapaa revealed that Atom has contacted him for featuring after he predicted his downfall.
"Atom brought his song but I didn't do it because people have turned toilet roll.
Atom once made a statement that 'I talked to Patapaa but he didn't listen'. He thought I don't understand English.
Today he is sending his song to me to feature, after he will accuse me of stealing his song. No I won't do that collaboration", Patapaa told DJ Poppa.
