The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has disclosed that each Ghanaian owes about GHC7000.
According to the party, Ghana’s total debt stock currently stands at $38.9 billion or GH¢198 billion. The figure, YEN.com.gh understands, represents 57% of Ghana’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
The NDC argued that the Akufo-Addo-led government has increased Ghana’s debt burden. It added that the government used the money for consumption instead of capital expenditure or infrastructure development.
Pulse.com.gh reports that data from the Bank of Ghana (BoG) recently showed that the total debt stock has gone up by GH¢22 billion within 4 months. It shot up by GH¢51 billion from March 2018 to March 2019. In January 2019, the total public debt was $35.7 billion (GH¢176.6 billion) and $35 billion (GHS180.7 billion) for February 2019. The figures represented 51.3% and 52.5% respectively of GDP.
The current debt is inclusive of the $3 billion Eurobond issued by the government in March 2019. The finance minister, Ken Ofori-Atta, has however indicated that the Akufo-Addo administration will continue to borrow to build the country.
According to him, it is important for a government who wants its country to grow do the needful to enhance the growth.
Unlike other places where people prefer to do it at better places, Ghanaians who live closer to the sea decide otherwise. This particular behaviour has turned a lot of tourists away from the sea.

Accra is dirty. The people who currently live here do not respect God and their gods. People prefer to defecate inside the sea so why wouldn't the same gods punish you? This behaviour must stop.
The Prophet also revealed that, the government must start using the laws and make sure that sanitation is kept.

Beleaguered Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Menzgold, Nana Appiah Mensah has revealed in a leaked conversation that he is prepared to pay off the locked up cash of his clients once he is released from detention. Some poor people, some widows even invested the donations they received at their husband’s funerals. Why will I run away with all this money? I’m waiting for government to give the green light for me to come to Ghana and arrange payment. I understand that some paperwork must be done so I’m waiting. If government is ready today, I will be in Ghana today. My assets exceed my liabilities. Why can’t I pay?”, NAM 1 is quoted to have said in his twelve minutes, twenty-one seconds telephone conversation.
The Nations Builders Corp (Nabco) was recently launched by the Government to help reduce the unemployment rate in Ghana.
After a successful launch, salaries due to these recruits have become "boakye bi din" (inaccessible).

The youngest rapper from Uganda and probably in the world, Patrick Ssenyonjo aka Fresh Kid who is just seven years old, was recently a hot topic after Ugandan government threatened him with jail term for dropping out of school.
After several back and forths, the government allowed him to continue with his business after his manager convinced them he wasn’t getting paid for rapping and only doing it as a hobby.
Well, it seems the hobby will soon start paying. Fresh Kid managed to get nominated in America’s prestigious awards dubbed Carolina Music Video Awards (CMVAs) thanks to his music video Bambi which was selected to battled it out in the awards whose gala is set for July 20 2019, in USA.
Taking to social media Fresh Kid urged fans to support him.
‘Hey guys I need your support please vote for me I need to bring this award home. Share as much as you can. Fresh Kid Nominated In U.S.A Awards – Purple TV Africa,” he wrote on Instagram.
