Hip life Grandpapa, Reggie Rockstone, has refuted rumours flying around that he has left VVIP insisting to Showbiz that he is still a member.
VVIP have been largely quiet since last year and that has sparked speculation about their status.
Reggie Rockstone's recent solo efforts, titled New Balance (11:11) featuring Sarkodie as well as Zeal and Prodigal's appearance on the Sallahfest stage on June 5 without Rockstone who joined the group six years ago, sparked the latest round of reports that he was no longer with the group.
Speaking to Showbiz on Friday, June 14, the Sweetie Sweetie hitmaker was unhappy that anyone would spread such a false rumour.
“I am wondering where all that is coming from, what pisses me off is the fact that no one has spoken to any of us and yet they put it out there that I have left the group.
“Why me? Is it because I am the newest member of the group? I am still with VVIP and we are very much together. I admit that we have been quiet for the past year but we are still together as a group, no one has left and I haven’t left either,” he explained.
Reggie told Showbiz that he did not perform with the group at the recently held Sallahfest because he was under the weather.
“I was sick during the Sallahfest that is why you did not see me but that is all there is to it, VVIP is intact and coming back bigger and better,” he stated.
Reggie Rockstone, real name Reginald Yaw Asante Ossei is credited with originating Hiplife in Ghana.
Albums he has to his credit include Me Na Me Kae, Face 2 Face, 10.0, Plan Ben?, Tsoo Boi and Reggiestration.
As a member of VVIP, the trio have hit songs like Skolom, Dogo Yaro , Selfie, Alhaji, Koliko among others.

Tonto Dikeh and Daniel Amokachi cling to each other at birthday party(photos)
It started out as a rumour but it beginning to seem like Daniel Amokachi is the new man in Tonto Dikeh‘s life as the duo were spotted together again and this time they were dancing.
Ex-Nigerian footballer, Daniel and Tonto are being spotted for the second time together, dancing and all loved up at the actress’s pre-birthday party.

Shatta Wale And Stonebwoy Have Proven That They Know Dancehall - Sonnie Badu
Ghanaian UK-based gospel singer Sonnie Badu has added his voice to the ongoing Charterhouse, Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale saga.
The gospel singer is advising them to come together to push their music now that they have been stripped off their hard work.
According to him, the two are winners and they have proven that they know dancehall music.
”When @davidoofficial and @wizkidayo had their issues the elders sat them down and resolved it. They made them understand Nigeria Music must move forward and Today, they are buddies again … Fans will always play a part in who is better but once you’re united, those head crushers will disappear. In this light as an African/Ghanaian Musician, I reached out to one of them (@stonebwoyb @shattawalenima) and asked one question, do you want to unite? Iam single and searching-64-year-old Gloria Akufo
The Attorney General (AG), Gloria Akuffo has revealed that she is still single and searching with the hope of finding a partner she would refer to as a friend even at age 64.
Speaking on Personality Profile with Lexis Bill, the mother of two said she is still single till date because she did not get anybody to marry her while growing up.
“Who said if I got somebody I won’t marry today? I have not found the person yet. I am still looking”, She revealed on the show monitored by MyNewsGh.com.
Asked by host what is keeping her away from going for someone, she insisted “Maybe I have not been found and I have not found”
Pushed to give the characteristics of her ideal man, she disclosed “a friend that I can be Gloria with. I can be angry I can laugh and a true friend you can sit with and inspite of whatever differences you will have into the future you can look back and laugh together and walk your old age together”
According to her, she is still in the woods looking for that person who will walk down the aisle with her maybe in the future but said she is not sure if someone will want to marry her at such an age.
Madam Gloria Akuffo who was brought up from a polygamous family having her children with “people’s husbands” but stated if a second chance, she “wouldn’t have done it today.”
“You know my background. I was born into a big home and at that age, you really didn’t think there was anything. But seriously, maybe I wouldn’t have done it today. ”You grow up not really seeing something wrong with having a relationship with someone’s [husband].”, she revealed.
