NDC chairman shot dead in Upper West region

Information reaching Massiveupdates.com indicate that, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) chairman for the Dafiama Bussie Issa Constituency, Mr. Poulabong Bayiilela Rachard has been shot dead by an unidentified gang.

According to a report on Ghanaweb, the incident occurred Monday night at Sagu, on the Wa-Tumu Road in the Upper West region.

Media report indicate that, the NDC chairman was shot whiles  returning from a funeral and the body has been taken to the Upper West regional Hospital for autopsy.

However, the deputy director of elections in the region Mr. Osman Seidu stated that,“The NPP regional chairman is from that constituency and they are working very hard to take that constituency,” said according to a media report.

“It’s a very big blow to the party and not only in the constituency but the region at large,” he added.

Now, the Police are reportedly investigating what might have triggered the shooting which took the life of the NDC Chairman.
