Outspoken Ghanaian media practitioner, Blakk Rasta, has waded into the ongoing brouhaha between dancehall artistes, Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy.
Chaos broke out at the night of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards after Shatta Wale stormed the stage while Stonebwoy was receiving his award for emerging the Reggae/Dancehall Artiste.
The head honcho of the Shatta Movement Empire explained in a statement that he and his fans only approached the stage to congratulate his arch-rival.
But the host of Taxi Driver show on Zylofon FM, Blakk Rasta says Shatta wasn’t in anyway going to congratulate Stonebwoy from his observations.
According to Blakk Rasta, Shatta Wale had premeditated to cause commotion at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC), where the event was held.
He cited a post the “Gringo” hitmaker made on social media suggesting that if he doesn’t stand top at the awards night, history will repeat itself.
Hell broke loose during the 2013 VGMA after Shatta Wale lost the Raggae/ Dancehall Artiste award to Kaakie. The controversial singer destroyed some equipment at the International Conference Centre.
Recounting the story, Blakk Rasta who doubles as a musician told SVTV Africa that Shatta Wale thought this time around, he would win the award to get the bragging right but his wish remained a wishful thinking.
The ‘Legalise Weed’ campaigner mentioned that Shatta Wale realising that he has again lost to Stonebwoy, headed to the stage with his fans to cause commotion, and as a self-defense Stonebwoy pulled out a gun.
